My air purifier won't turn on.

Check that the power cord is connected securely to both the wall outlet and the air purifier. Check if there is a power outage in the outlet by trying a nearby light or device, or by trying a working device in the same outlet. Check that the filters and filter covers are fitted properly into the filter chamber.

How often do I need to replace the filters in the Performance Series Air Purifiers?

The air purifier's replacement indicators will notify you when it is time to replace the combination True HEPA/Carbon filters. Plan on replacing the filters every 12 months.

How do I clean the machine and how often?

The exterior of the air purifier can be wiped down with a dampened cloth to remove any accumulated dust.

How do I reset the Filter Reset button so it's no longer red?

To reset the Filter Reset indicator, hold the Filter Reset button for 3 seconds. Once you hear the chime, the Carbon and HEPA lights will turn off and the Filter Reset button will return to white.

Can I replace the filters on the Performance Series Air Purifiers before the indicator light turns red?

Yes, you can change the filter before the purifier tells you they need to be replaced. If you replace the filters early, hold the Filter Reset button for 10 seconds until you hear a chime. This lets the purifier know that you replaced the filter early and will proactively reset the filter indicators.

How do I clean the pre-filter and how often?

The pre-filter captures larger particles and preserves the efficiency of the other filters, so we recommend that you visually inspect the pre-filters every month and wash as needed.

Does the TRU-BEAM UV-C light need to be replaced? If so, how often?

The UV-C LEDs are designed to last for the entire life of the product saving time and money and eliminating the need for replacement bulbs.

Yes, TruSens Air Purifiers are designed to operate all day and you will find the most optimal performance if the air purifier is on throughout the day. The air purifier is equipped with replacement indicators that will notify you when it is time to replace the combination True HEPA/Carbon filters. Plan on replacing the filters every 12 months – dependent on your usage patterns.

What air pollutants can SensorPod sense?

The SensorPod™ evaluates the condition of the air by measuring the concentration of airborne particulate matter (0.3-10µm in size) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Do I need to use the SensorPod?

Both the Z-6000 and Z-7000 can be used without the SensorPod™, but will only operate in Manual Mode and not display an AQI reading if the SensorPod is not connected. If you'd like to run the purifier in Auto Mode, you will need to use the SensorPod.

How far away can I set up the SensorPod from the Performance Series Air Purifier?

Up to 15m. For optimal results, place the SensorPod™ on a tabletop or counter across the room, but within line of sight of the air purifier.

Where do I place the SensorPod?

Anywhere you want to measure the air quality within the room. For optimal results, place the SensorPod™ up to 15m away from the air purifier on a counter or table, within line of sight of the purifier. In Auto Mode, the purifier will work to distribute clean air until the SensorPod reads an acceptable level of air quality.
